7: Mushrooms of New Melones Lake Hike. Hike the base of Table Mountain to identify the different species of fungi we find along this easy 2-mile trail. Participants will have the option of returning on their own or participating in a climb to the top to enjoy the grand view of New Melones Lake. 15: Wildflowers of the Mother Lode Hike. 10 am.Learn how to identify some of the wildflowers that blanket the Mother Lode this time of year on this moderate 2.5-mile hike. 21: Ranger Led Hike. 10 am. Take a ranger led hike in the Peoria Wildlife Area then drive up to the Dam Overlook to experience a close-up view of the dam and river canyon. Rangers on site from 10 am to 5 pm to answer any questions you have about New Melones Lake. The day use fee will be waived in both Tuttletown and Glory Hole Recreation Areas. 21: FREE Open Garden – Historic Rose Garden and Sale. 9:30 am – 2 pm. 29: Arbor Day Oak Tree Planting and Hike. 10am. Assist the Ranger in planting 20 Oak Tree seedlings in the Manzanita Campground then join in for a hike to discuss the many trees that grow at New Melones Lake.
